Had applied for PhD but was offered admission for Masters. No mention of any funding either !

To the PhD folks still in the waiting boat, take it from my prior experience with this university..they will send you a reject letter only by 20~22nd of April. They wont even respond to queries till then. Its sealed..no more PhD admits will come out at all.

Expect rejections. I called the ECE department and they said admissions have been all finalized. I was told no faculty member has recommended me so I'm gonna safely assume that as a rejection.

Just FYI for those waiting, I received an email from a professor on April 3rd where the professor acknowledged that it was late in the application process but asked if I was still looking for a PhD. I had already accepted elsewhere, but unfortunately it looks like the faculty have already combed through their first/second/third etc. choices. Best of luck!

so its 15th now, and still no decision. I saw a couple of rejects below, i guess its safe to assume that its reject season now. This was my dream school. :'(

To the USC Poster Below: I also haven’t heard back from USC. But, from some post here on GC and past year's stat, it’s pretty obvious that we were not their first choice. They did send out the admits. And no, I don't think they will send out the rejections too early. Perhaps, later on this month or the next one! I assume, it’s just the norm of USC of being super late to send out the rejections. That been said, position may open iff someone accepted decline the offer. The chance of that is pretty slim, though.

Anyone heard from the ECE department, as to when will the results from the masters program will be released?

Did anyone receive acceptance or rejection from Viterbi school? Are they passing out decisions tomorrow?

Does UCSD send out PhD rejection??? I almost have no time to wait for it. Going crazy.
