I have to agree. If you know you'll reject an offer if you get off the waitlist, why keep it? Seems like it's just to stroke your ego. Think of the other applicants.

Went here for undergrad, probably won't stay but it's a great school.

"Should a space become available for you after this date (April 15, 2016), we will immediately notify you of the opening." I never received an email. I applied via express (paper) admission. So, I couldn't even see my application (let alone my status) online.

To previous poster: if you are planning to reject your offer why don't you withdraw your application? I know for a fact it makes a difference on how many waitlisters they can get to before April 15.

Accepted for Summer. I have a 4.0 in my Masters Degree that I just finished. I have 2 years of supervisory experience. It took me 4 years to get accepted into a program and I had to do a lot to boost of my resume.

Dont know if this is ambitious or safe for my profile but I'm definitely considering it.

I asked them and got the following response: your application has already been reviewed by the committee and you are recommended for admission. The reason you have not yet heard from us is that we also have to get formal approval from the university, which is typically a formality, but we have to go through it anyway. So you will be receiving the official offer from us very soon. Congratulations!
