First author publication, 20+ conference presentations, 2 MA degrees, 5+ years sociology teaching experience. I'm surprised and disappointed, but it was extremely competitive this year.

Has anyone heard about interviews from the Economic Sociology group yet? I saw that Sloan has already done interviews for several of their other PhD programs, but I haven't seen any posts about interviews of potential Economic Sociology students. From what I can see from previous years, I'm guessing I'll get a rejection notification from them in the next few days. But still holding out a bit of hope I suppose.

To the poster asking about Yale Sociology: I interviewed with them 2 weeks ago and they said to expect a decision by mid-February.

Funding decisions to come this week

TTPB: apparently the committee at IU met last Monday to decide final admits and we are supposedly going to hear within the next two weeks. Well, that was a week ago. I still haven't heard anything.

Checked portal and it said they had sent me an email the day before. They didn't, but I did get an email later that day.

To the poster previous: nope, haven't heard of any updates. On their webpage it says that they are going to send offers in April (seems pretty late compared to last year)

I'm the one who posted about USC and unless the prof and advisor are playing an elaborate joke, I don't think it is! To the other poster, please don't worry. No one mailed anything about all decisions having been made or sent out, and one may assume they're still rolling out like these do...
