To the below post; I hope it goes to someone who really wants it

I will be declining my previous offer of acceptance, as I have now been accepted at another school that feels like a better fit. I hope this helps someone out on the waitlist.

Prior poster: I believe all of us who applied have seen that they post their tentative schedule of admission notices on the application. What we were not expecting is the lack of communication and professionalism from them. These applications are not cheap or something we can throw together in the matter of minutes, therefore it is not unreasonable for us to feel frustration towards their approach to admitting applicants. Please don’t make excuses for their poor way of doing things just because they post their schedule. What reputable school only gives their top applicants 15 days to decide?? What reputable school doesn’t send out most of their acceptances until after the April 15th deadline?? My safety school has turned into a joke that stole my time, money, and really just pisses me off.

To the previous poster who received a "rejection letter" from Mercy College after declining their offer of admission - that happened to me with the University of Akron and Miami University. They sent me super generic "rejection letters" after I declined their offers of admission that said I hadn't been accepted... so weird and unprofessional.

Other West Chester people: I’m with you on the frustration!! What a waste of my time and money on a school with average scores that I exceed exponentially. There is no reason for the way they accept people and I will definitely be discouraging friends from applying here in the future.

checked my status today: "not admitted" glad because they were absolutely horrible about getting decisions out within a reasonable amount of time. it's been quite the journey, grad cafe fam! i'm sorry you guys had to go through this :( best of luck to you all!

Shame on you West Chester. This program is a joke. Just finally hearing that I'm waitlisted after hearing NOTHING for months. A tip to future applicants: don't apply here. It's a waste of your time and money.

Accepted off the wait list today...beyond stoked!

Did not receive an email; I happened to check the website late around 11:30pm last night. Pretty disappointed that I waited this long only to get rejected. Extremely disappointed...

I emailed this morning, no reply. Checked the portal, "no decision". So I'm going to assume I've been rejected or possibly wait-listed. I'm throwing my hands up in the air at this point, I can't keep checking the portal or refreshing my email all day. UCF is very inconsiderate.

I saw my "not admitted" status on the admissions portal. They have not sent me an email. Seems very unprofessional.

I also JUST got an email saying I was waitlisted (which we all already knew). It's been 5 months since the app was due and I just can't believe it's taken them this long to let us officially know we're waitlisted. Very inconsiderate.

I called yesterday and they said they had everything finalized and sent over to the main grad school so they could update statuses. She said we wold hear back either today or tomorrow. But at this point I don't know what to believe.

Nothing from UCF. How can they think it's acceptable to take everyone's money and not even have the courtesy to give a decision. I just need a YES or a NO. They need to get it together...

I still have heard nothing. I have called and emailed with no reply. I kind of had a feeling today wouldn’t be the day though.

FINALLY heard something back from them that I'm waitlisted. Has anybody been rejected or is it all still waitlists?

Supposedly today 5/15/18 is the last day for decisions. Has ANYONE heard back yet? I guess they'll let us know at the end of the night.
