To the UCSB MS CS Admit poster below, how did you receive the admit? Via email or portal update, also could you share your pofile

Two masters degree (one in CE and another in CS). SoP in ML, AI, and CV. Received acceptance from advisor not in SoP with Distinguished Dean Fellowship.

To the CS admits below, did you receive mail from department advisor or did you get the mail from university and were you able to see the acceptance stats in the application website?

Specifying the school. Biology Major, Minor in Computer Science from McGill. Strong LORs from one well known AI professor. GPA: 3.92

1yrs+ ML lab experience, no publications, exchange in Taiwan, normal LORs, internship at a YC startup.

To answer you questions below: My GPA is 8.45, GRE -323 (169A,154V). I used to work in Samsung

To the IIT undergrand below , whats your GPA /GRE . Also work ex in which organisation ?

Got the mail from department. No intimation from university. IIT undergrad with 2.5 years of experience, no publications or papers.

One of my dream university, but again, ambitious. The same guy from Mumbai University who got rejected from CMU too. Waiting to see if I get admits anywhere at all.

Bioengineering Undergrad. Not recommended for admission but application was forwarded to the MS CS for Scientists and Engineers.

E-mail from the department. No funding. Computer Engineering undergrad, 87% GPA, 3 internships (1 US, 2 Intl), good GRE, previously visiting student at UCSB, 1 yr TA, no publications, no research.

Generic rejection. Did not try to contact any professors during the application process. Had one (now two) research publication relating to CS education at the time of application.
