:(

They said in a second email that 1/3 of students on the wait-list are usually accepted.

$16k stipend and invited me to a recruitment weekend in March with up to $300 reimbursement for travel.

Four years full funding, formal letter to be sent soon.

Invited to Visit Day

Advisor and funding information will be sent next week.

I did not get funding. Unhappy

I have had contact with POI and I also got the following email: "Congratulations on your outstanding record of academic achievement! We are delighted that you are interested in joining the Aerospace Engineering Sciences (AES) graduate program at the University of Colorado. While your strong academic record meets our stringent requirements, before we accept PhD students we would first like our faculty to meet you, since we will only admit you to the PhD program if a faculty member indicates that they wish to work with you".

Invite to an open house. "While your strong academic record meets our stringent requirements, before we accept PhD students we would first like our faculty to meet you, since we will only admit you to the PhD program if a faculty member indicates that they wish to work with you." "This visit does have the potential to ensure Ph.D. funding as opposed to non-funded M.S. admission."

They can only admit "only truly worthy applicants". Probably the rudest wording I've seen in a rejection letter. So is it just me?
