TTPB from IIT: I'm from IIT too and I can totally understand what you are going through. However, don't lose hope and if you don't get an admit from anywhere, work as a RA for a year and then reapply. Unlike MS, RA positions are fully funded. Good luck! | ||||

I don’t know what to say. An IIT undergrad, with papers. 9.5 ish Gpa which translates to 3.9 to 3.95 on 4. Papers aren’t top tier. Have 2 in Core B rankings. What can I do when the best profs at my university publish at top venues once in a blue moon and I am talking about India’s best universities. I didn’t even apply to masters coz I don’t have enough funds to support my education. Complete depression now :( | ||||

TTPB: Yeah rejection doesn't mean you are bad prob the prof found better matches. The whole PhD admission process is extremely noisy. I know people getting into top places like MIT with few publications. | ||||
