To the poster below: BU tends to try punching above it's weight every year (as many school just outside of the top 10-20 do). So they tend to admit people off the wait list. (I know of several who're attending now who were on the wait list).

Anyone knows if there's a chance to be admitted with funding from the waiting list?

Was accepted with funding via email. I just wanted to say that last year I was rejected from 7 programs and this is just proof that hard work and determination pay off!!

Has anyone got admission/ funding? I mailed the admission committee. They said my application is still being evaluated and decisions are shared no later than April 1st. Tensed.

Is there a facebook group for Boston University's cohort yet?

BU is sending out acceptances this and next week and should be done by end of March or early April but honestly if it wasn't your top choice there is no point in not accepting existing offers. It was my top choice so I notified the one other program I got in to and one waitlisted. Afaik all BU students are fully funded (since someone asked earlier). I would have picked BU over Iowa tbh purely because of location (my girlfriend is studying at MIT). Now we can move in. Wooooooot!

I emailed BU last week, because I was on a time crunch with another opportunity and got a very polite email from Catherine Con saying I was not accepted, and that all the notifications will go out by next week! Good luck everyone!

Anyone else has heard back from BU? Someone posted yesterday an acceptance for fiction, one would think there would be more today. Please let us know if you were accepted (or rejected) - thanks!

The person with the Boston University acceptance - did you get any funding? I'm asking only because I know I would not be able to attend the program without funding so with no funding I would not even worry about whether I was accepted or rejected. Thank you!

In response to the poster below, yes, BU has started notifying for fiction. Don't know if they went out all at once or are going out in waves though. I received an email from Ha Jin yesterday, saying they are accepting 10 students for the cohort.
