Double major in EE and Physics, 3.99 U-GPA, Masters in EE, 4.0 GPA. 1 Patent, 1 publication in high impact journal, 1 other submitted, 2.5 years of professional experience at fortune 500 company, 4 strong LOR, several professional certifications, bunch of awards...WTF does this school want!?!?!? The corrupt nature of American universities...All about connections and money...typical

called them and Lady said, it's most unlikely to get positive result, however, they wanna wrap up the decision procedure on Friday this week. had strong believes to get that admission but totally disappointed. :(

Received this reply from admissions office: "We do hope to have all decisions posted to the online applications soon. I do apologize for the delay."

Called the office: "Unfortunately it doesn't seem likely at the moment," says decisions were made 2 weeks ago and should have been posted then.

MSc from Canada, Undergrad from Bangladesh. No email replies from Admission office in response of my question. tried to call them but the lady said result may come out probably at the end of this week. Every week she replies like that :) so definitely it gonna be a rejection..... good luck every one.

Top ECE institution in the US. Strong letters and 2 years research experience. Neither interview either nor waitlist so it should be a guaranteed rejection.

Master Degree from Rowan University with straight A. 2 years of research experience and first author in all my publications:1 journal paper + 2 IEEE conference papers + 1 journal paper submitted (IEEE Transactions on Signal processing) + 1 journal paper to be submitted by the next month (IEEE TSP). Best paper Award + Travel Award at IEEE conference in the US last November 2013. Best Project Award for my undergraduate bachelor thesis. 4 LoR (UMN,WPI,Rowan,UAB). Didn't hear anything so I consider that as a rejection.

To the posters below, I shouldn't say the prof's name. You"ll get to know if you ask anybody in ece dept. of IIT KGP. My GRE score was 153,166,4.0 and Toefl 108. I applied to circuits track, as my research interest is Analog VLSI and design.

To the NIT RKL and IIT KGP guy, can you please share the prof's name under whom you worked in IIT Kharagpur ? By the way, heartiest congratulations.

To the poster below, no interview at all, but the prof. I worked with in IIT KGP ECE department has a very good reputation in MIT. Each and every year at least one guy from his lab is getting through.

B.Tech ECE - CGPA 9.16 (2012 batch), NIT Rourkela, 1 yr JRF @ IIT Kharagpur. Can't believe it. OMG !!! It's MIT. Guys always research experience at a premier institute has its strong impact rather than doing internships/jobs @ any company. I myself declined the offer from Texas instruments in 2012 and joined IIT KGP for only 16k buks per month, but it is giving me all the colors I wanted to have. Also, good SOP and strong LORs from 2 NIT profs and 2 IIT KGP profs for MIT.
