Accepted off the waitlist! 4a/4r/1w

Received an email I was accepted on 4/11 at around 8AM, but it went to my spam folder. Faculty sent another email 4/12 asking if I was still interested. Had assumed rejection because I had no prior communication about anything from them and my portal said No Decision on 4/10. Totally blindsided. Took a tour of the campus yesterday & did a phone call with a current student. Really loved it even w/ the communication issue; considering accepting once I know what's happening with the WL at my top choice. Suggest everyone check their spam folders - I have no idea if I was on a secret waitlist or something, but the notification came super late??

Just found out the waitlist has been closed. Congrats to all accepted.

Just accepted off the waitlist!!!!! THRILLED. To the previous poster, you have INDEED made someone very, very happy. Wonderful call from the delightful Ms. Boggs, they have been so kind and professional in all interactions with them. Barring any unforeseen development, will be attending! Hard really pays off in the end!!!

Accepted off the waitlist, but have just declined (I’ve decided to apply for another cycle). Hoping this makes someone very, very happy! :)

Emailed over a week ago for update = no response. Today, full rejection email with rude tone. Yikes!

Could someone speak to the pros/cons of each program: Michener vs Iowa WW?

Pretty rude email after a ridiculously long delay. Not applying here again.

To other poster: I got a direct email from Ander about it. Had been talking to him earlier in the week expressing my interest in the program; at about 5PM yesterday got the an email that as of yesterday morning all offers were accepted and the waitlist was closed. I know via Draft that at least 3 people were pulled from the waitlist for fiction.

Form rejection on April 12, after they ignored my inquiry email weeks ago. Classy.

To the poster: have they sent out emails about people being accepted off the waitlist or there was no movement? Got nothing

Fiction cohort is full. I'm gutted.

Waited too LONG......and required A LOT work during applying.....

All nonfiction offers accepted, admissions committee said.

Email to check portal. Visited portal and was transported to a secondary dimension where, unfortunately, I discovered I’d been rejected... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Just got off the waitlist for the NWP in poetry, so for those waiting, it looks like things are starting to wrap up – sending good vibes!

To the Ohio University poster, I would just email if I were you. I'm on their waitlist (maybe you are too?) and have been emailing the director of graduate studies a lot and she's been helpful and informative.

Professor who interviewed me updated me earlier this month about my rank, but they had radio silence for awhile.
