Email to check portal. So excited!

Got an email yesterday saying my application stood out and inviting me to their open house. Today I got an email like others below, so little strange.

I got the interview invite yesterday. I'm domestic as well, and also got the strange portal update thing (although my portal has said the same thing for 2 months)

TTPB: I also received the same email today although I submitted my application by the due date. It might have been sent out by mistake to all applicants or it might have been just an update? Not sure really. I noticed that you're also an international student, maybe they just started reviewing international applications?

Just received an email from them "Your application to the PhD in Chemistry is complete and ready for review. An admissions notification will be sent via email once a decision is available." I submitted my app all the way back in November 2020!!! What the hell is going on? :( They JUST started reviewing my application? It looks like they sent interview invites already ;(

Unbelievable! I got into two top schools.

No interview, just immediate acceptance. But one of my fellow chem undergrads from GSU was offered an interview. 3 years of research experience, 5 years of TA/teaching experience. 3.75 chem GPA (3.1 overall GPA).

Received a fellowship

Got the acceptance letter only a few hours after a Zoom chat with a professor.

2years of research in the field of inorganic and computational chem, one publication.

Accepted after interview/recruitment day
