Did not even send an email. Checked the website randomly to find the disappointing result.

Email received at 1:42 pm EST.

Not clearly funded - letter indicates that they think I have a good chance at NSF funding and will consider me for MIT funding otherwise.

Accepted to the top ranked program two years after being rejected by multiple top 200 programs.

Email from Arnaud Costinot with acceptance letter

I received an invite for the on-site interview weekend a month ago. I suspect that they are done sending out invitations at this point.

GPA 9.03/10.00 from a premier Indian Institute, Participation and a Gold in iGEM, Masters Thesis at Max Planck. No GREs, Good TOEFL scores. Congrats to the selected applicants.

Biophysics Theory! What a relief as almost every other school rejected me. Good luck to everyone else!

TTPB; I was told by my POI by email that they had a ranking & I was 5th, not in the official email. When I emailed the admissions contact they said they didn't have a ranking, so actually not sure atm.

A professor at MIT I know informed me that this year most graduate student spots are awarded in gravitational physics and less spots are available in other fields. His guess is the same might be true for other schools which are involved in this field. Sucks if you're CME like me...

To the poster bellow that received an interview invitation: Congratulations! Are you an international applicant?

To the below poster, I was invited to an on campus interview on 2/24. No idea what it's going to look like or how many people will be there.

TTPB: I emailed their office today. All they said is that their admission cycle is later this year. Best of luck.
