An eventual offer would include full funding.

I was just wondering the same thing too! Feeling a little ghosted after the visit weekend. I'm glad to hear some other people are experiencing the same thing, at least...

Generic Email. "Thank you for your interest in Graduate Studies at the University of Texas at Austin. We received many interesting and excellent applications, only some of which we were able to accept this year. We reviewed your application very carefully and note several strong features. There is rigorous competition for entry into our graduate programs and your application was not among those that we were able to accept. We wish you every success with your studies and beyond."

Are they still alive?

I really like this school and hope to get in. People who have better offers, please, kindly reject as quickly as you can

GPA: 8.88/10.00 (#1 out of 45). 4 years of research. 1 coauthor at high impact journal. 3 submitted papers, including 1 first author. Great LOR.

Thrilled to be on the waitlist, and would really like to go here. Thanks to everyone who's declining offers they know they won't take! 6a/8r/2wl/2p (already turned down 4 offers)

Happy that I got this program. But I was wondering what kind of job this degree will land me after graduation. Is it possible to get into data science/machine learning engineer with this degree. Can anyone provide me with some information about the job opportunities? I would really appreciate some guidance.

Received an email from graduate program coordinator

“... Please note that we don’t rank applicants on our waitlist, so please don’t ask us about your position on the list. Also, because students offered funding are not obligated to accept or decline these offers until April 15, we will most likely be unable to provide any updates on your status until this date or close to it. We certainly will inform you as soon as we have more information about your status.” No information about visit day

Received an email to set up my mymav email, which prompted me to check the portal.

Lovely phone call from Lisa Olstein! Still waiting to hear back from other programs, but considering UT is my first choice, I should be emailing my acceptance of the offer shortly!
