5 years full funding

"the faculty has rated your application favorably to provide funding." Yay! Thanx God

Interview date March 10th. Also was invited to interview informally at the New Brunswick campus, which is a separate program.

I was also hopeful when I didn't receive a rejection a few days before :)

didn't see this one coming: 4.0/1550gre/stellar recs/degree from Brown. "We can only take a small percentage this year." New Jersey stinks. Literally.

No funding

Invitation to campus visit in Feb/Mar

It was a definite reach, but I was hopeful when I didn't hear about a rejection a couple of days ago when others did.

Was told frankly by adviser Rutgers students would have the hardest time gaining admission. Still hurts a little.

Rutgers is so competitive; the GPA and GRE showed below are amazingly good, but...

Graduate GPA: 3.97; V:790, Q:750, AW: 5.5 ; 3 publications and numerous conferences. ??
