Theoretical chemistry, REU at Duke, 4 years of research, Beckman scholar!

Applied for organic. Did not take GREs. Did not attend their virtual recruitment day.

Got an email from a faculty yesterday to arrange a zoom call today. He said no need for me to prepare anything he just wanted to chat. Today, he told me I am admitted. Theoretical chemistry, 4 years research, Duke REU, Beckman scholar! :)

3.96 undergrad GPA, graduated in 3 years, interest in inorganic/pchem, no posters and no publications. I am so shocked and excited! Good luck to everyone :)

email of portal update. organic. waited very long. Thought I was rejected at this late in the game.

3.88/4.0 GPA, summa cum laude, best graduate in chemistry award at my undergraduate school, 3 publications and 4 conference presentations. Got an email last night asking for a quick 10min call, and I was told over Zoom that I was accepted. Full details will be available next week. I'm still in shock. Good luck to everyone!!!

Has anyone heard back from UMich for the medicinal chemistry program?

Accepted via zoom. Three research experiences, three strong LORs (one from a well-known faculty of MIT), no GRE, GPA 3.89. They only had 5 spots for the Materials Chemistry division. Excited, dream school !
