Pretty sad! We received over 135 applications this year, from many individuals who are highly qualified for graduate work. We have declined admission to some of these fine applicants because of the limited space in our program....

Not surprised, the program is super competitive

I was losing sleep over this and recently came to terms with the possibility of rejection. I found out today that I was amoung top candidates for potential funding, so I think they are taking their time with admissions. Might be the same for you!

I didn't really put much effort into my personal statement.

From Sharif University of Technology, 1 international conference paper, 4yrs of work experience in construction industry

I am sorry to inform you that your application for admission to the Physics Department at the University of Colorado at Boulder was not accepted. We have reviewed all applications carefully, considering transcripts, recommendation letters, research/personal statements, and test scores. However, due to the large number of applications and the limited number of available spaces, we are unable to admit many qualified applicants. We wish you the best in your pursuit of a physics career.

First Admit Received. Second among my choices in applications.
