To the poster below inquiring about BU’s notification: Like yourself, I am waiting to hear from them too. But you need to relax and just wait until BU notifies you. Inquiring a million things on this forum will not make BU inform you any faster. Additionally, please avoid burdening other prospective students with admission questions. If you are that worried, please e-mail the department directly. Relax. Breathe. Be patient. :-)

First interview, such a relief

Interview dates 2/1 or 2/8.

Got an email saying I was invited for an interview. I was overwhelmed with joy and was shaking from happiness. Only to be informed three hours later that it was a technical error in the system. Bummed.

Email from POI to set up skype meeting next week!

I was contacted by the director of the program via email letting me know that I was not accepted into the program, and can be expecting the official rejection letter soon. Fortunately, she was nice enough to set up a time with me to give me feedback on my application.

For anyone who has been rejected from Boston University's Biomedical Engineering PhD; Could you please mention the major reason for rejection so that others could learn from your experience?

Got an email from Director of Masters Programs. "The number of people we can admit each year is quite limited, and as a result of intense competition, we must deny admission to many well qualified candidates.", that included me.

I was essentially over-qualified in so many other research areas they didn't trust I would stick with only their work rather than branching out to other areas. Not a program I belong in anyway. Nice ppl tho!
