Emailed PI who informed me that I had not been admitted

Checked website and found out admit decision, no correspondence from department yet.

Is anyone still waiting for their answer?

I'm guessing all the acceptances went out last week, but has anyone gotten waitlisted yet? (I'm not on the MFA Draft page, so if there's more info there, please pass along!)

"We received a record number of applications this year, and all files from each applicant were reviewed with diligence and care by the Admissions Committee. I realize that this news may come as a disappointment but the committee’s decision should not be viewed as a reflection of your ability or potential. I sincerely hope you have other opportunities to continue your education in astronomy."

Contacted earlier to schedule an interview on Friday. Admission decision should be out next week.

@ the poster below: I have also been given the silent treatment by UT Austin, so I'm presuming rejection too... who is your POI?

Has anyone heard back from UT Austin PhD in biomedical engineering? I've asked people I know and sent an email and I was told to wait until the end of March. Does that mean rejection?

Was emailed that I am on the waitlist. Very surprised but optimistic. Anyone who was offered admission but not planning on accepting please inform them....
