Only a year of research, no pubs, some good LoRs but this was totally expected

To the poster below: I got my official acceptance letter with financial aid on January 15th.

I applied for both chemical biology and organic. The POI was in chemical biology. I'm pretty disappointed too, but not surprised given the number of acceptances posted. I'm sure there will still be a couple more, though....at least, I hope.

Aww darn it! :( Do you know if they meant for all the departments or yours specifically? What department are you in?

Contacted a POI, was told a the vast majority of offers were extended last week but they couldn't comment on my status. Bummer. At least they replied.

Hi! Anyone got the official letter from USC? I was notified by a faculty previously but haven't received official letter so far.

First Class, 1-year research experience, Abstract publication, 9 months TA experience, 3 Good LOR, 2 winning Poster presentations. Had an interview with 2 professors and got the offer after 6 days.

Chem/math/bio triple major. 2 years of research. No GRE. Weird in that I have been accepted to programs ranked higher nationally

3.3 GPA, excellent GRE. 2.5 years of undergrad research. 3 Pubs, 1 first author. 2 posters. 3 fantastic rec letters. 1 pretty upset student :(

Dream school :(. Very kind rejection though.
