Finally received the letter stating what I knew after phoning several times. I received a response to my email about a month ago. Just received a letter dated 12 May . What the heck? So slow. NYU here I come.

This is ridiculous. Not any communication and I have emailed twice and called once. At this point, if I did get accepted I don't know that I would have confidence in a program that has so little care about it's admission notification process. It speaks volumes about its resources.

Had to call them just to get an answer. Whatever, I'm going to NYU.

Anyone else hear? I noticed one notification of waitlisted that was received April 19. Can't they just send the rejects out first? If you've heard any kind of response, did your ISIS account reflect it first. Are all notifications via email? Took them long enough.

Has anyone heard from Iowa yet?

I sent them an e-mail to ask about the app status, and they replied that they had sent the decision via e-mail, later I came to know that they had sent it to someone else's e-mail ID. Very unprofessional!!! if they goofed up with the e-mail ID, how can I be sure if they even reviewed the correct application. Their ECE dept. is very good, but their review process is pathetic.(No online status check, grad-coordinator is unhelpful....) Anyway, I hv Cornell, Columbia & Colorado-Boulder as of now.

RA by a very good professor,I rejected it 04/13/2008;accepted UVa

I called them last week and was told they were holding a committee meeting last Friday(?). And, that no decisions had been made as of 4/4/08. I am concerned about their program in general. Waiting so late is just ridiculous!

My goodness. Any news from anyone on Theatre MFA admissions at U of Iowa??? Timeline for notifications?

Can't believe it!! Let them go to hell, I'm going to a much much higher ranked school this fall!
