Applied for IR concentration. American with Master's from top 50 QS Uni abroad. First school I've heard from. Thought the fit was good, but obviously this year is very competitive due to funding restrictions.

delivered through email. No specifics on rejection. was not a great fit. Not surprised.

Official acceptance letter, but no update on teaching assistantship. Accepted without interview. Waiting on funding information before accepting.

Interview invite to meet the faculty. The interview consisted mostly of just general ideas and thoughts on language acquisition. They asked me very little about my materials.

PI called to extend an informal offer.

0a/0w/0i/4r/2p | I kind of expected this since I hadn't had an interview. GPA is Masters. Multiple publications and great LORs. This whole cycle sucks. "The Admissions Committee for NYU Steinhardt has carefully and thoroughly reviewed your application and supporting credentials. It is with regret that I inform you that we cannot offer you admission to the Media, Culture, and Communication - MCCD-PHD program. Thank you for the time and effort you put into completing your application. We realize our decision may be disappointing and we are sorry that we cannot grant you an opportunity to continue your education at NYU Steinhardt. Because of the volume of applications we receive and school policy, we are not permitted to provide individualized feedback on your application. We greatly appreciate your interest in our school and wish you success in your academic pursuits."

No previous Sociology experience. I was a decent fit, but I was not a great one. Already have some offers to work with, so not the most disappointing news.

okay...

email to check portal. bummer.

GPA is MA. Email to check portal. Expected, since I was not contacted for an interview.
