Email to check portal. 3a/1r/8p

Yes, my interview was before I submitted my application. I had a pretty formal telephone interview with my POI after exchanging several emails. I have multiple years of research experience and was first author on several projects (I meant to include that in my initial results submission). Undergrad from a very competitive school with great letters and a specific research questions that was closely aligned with my POI's work.

An unexpected email invitation to the admits visit (rly hoping this wasn't an accident)

@ poster below, was your interview before the application deadline in january?

Received an email to check the portal. Unbelievably fierce competition beyond description... I have a degree from Paris IV La Sorbonne and didn't get an interview, lol. My research interests matched perfectly with one of the professors... all I can say it's a big loss for them. Lol whatever, doesn't mean anything.

Great interview in the fall. In the rejection email they encouraged me to have my application transferred to the master's program.

Fierce competition - I have a masters from uchicago and didn’t get an interview lol

No interview was already an implicit no. Thank you, next!

A bit disappointing, but I legitimately didn't do well on the interview and didn't connect with the faculty interviewing. For future folks, it was conducted 100% in French. Congrats to admits!

Sad. Potential supervisor is a wonderful scholar. Hopefully will be offered a place elsewhere,
