So on the wait list. Waitin' for people to drop. Very nice email about a short list nice funding and while they liked me and all I'm just not pretty enough to ask to the dance. I'm a butherface backup.

Same person posting as before—I was notified that I was near the top of the waitlist for the PhD program. I didn't use the word "waitlist" in my initial email to the DGS, so I'm guessing they do have an official one or she wouldn't have replied with that wording. I'm not sure about waitlists for any of UTK's other programs (ie. MFA) though.

Emailed to check my status and was notified that I am on the waitlist.

I emailed the program and the administrator told me that offers were made last week, that there is a short wait list, but I am not on it. Unsure if they've announced the wait list or not. Good luck everybody. 1a/5r/1w...1 remaining

Letter followed by email. Received teaching assistantship. Very excited!

Columbia usually doesn't notify until March 10th-20th (maybe around the 15th to average things out). Anyway, they've already notified nonfiction people--no one has heard anything on the boards re: fiction and poetry. There have been acceptances to NYU/Hunter though, I believe. Not sure if everyone has been notified, but some people have.

To the poster below: thanks for the reply - and congratulations on The New School!

Accepted without funding - I've declined.

To those waitlisted - planning to decline today or tomorrow.

Hoping to get out of limbo -- please, if you're accepted, notify UM of your decision!

One short line about not being admitted. 1a/0w/3r

"We regret we were unable to admit you." Simple and straight to the point. 1a/0w/3r

I figured it out (answer to post below!) it says still being "evaluated"

Boo :(

Rejection email went to spam folder on Gmail. Definitely one of the Top 10 weirdest things I experienced over the last 48 hours.

no email to check, just saw the other posts on here, a button showed up on the page saying your results are available
