for those who received rejections, is this reflected in your UChicago Account? I'm fully expecting a rejection, but my status still says "submitted."

Rejected but offered spot in the MAPSS program.... jokes on them though I decided like two days after submitting the application that I didn't want to go there LOL

I was sent an email and referred to check my status page

So are we supposed to assume if we weren't contacted for interview(s) by now, and we haven't received a rejection/acceptance, we probably won't be getting in? Sad :(

reached out to and chatted with 1 faculty member, the program director, and 2 current PhD student in 8-9/2020; submitted my application in late 10/2020; selected to interview with 5 faculty members on 1/29; interviews were on 2/5; then was told that I should expect to receive an admissions decision by 2/19

Also emailed the office; the reply was "official decision will come soon", which likely means "official rejection".

I was waitlisted by Chicago. Applied on the day of deadline and I have a last name near the end of the alphabet

TBP: sorry to say it, but if you haven't heard from UChicago at this point, it is a rejection--there's no "short list" of remaining likely admits. Look at how few rejections have been posted so far (and I say this as someone who hasn't heard anything yet).

TPB: It doesn't make sense at all. There are a few candidates who are waitlisted and there are more candidates (including me) who have never got any message. Maybe the assistant just told a little white lie...
