Big Envelope, No April Fool's Joke

had already received unofficial email. letter dated 3/19, and according to the postmark, was sent to New Zealand before arriving here in France.

Worst April Fool's joke ever... Nice one, Wagner, you really got me! Got a rejection notice last week but got an email today informing me that I was accepted. An hour later I received a lengthy email retracting the acceptance, informing me of a terrible mistake and rambling about how I'm probably still a great person and I'm probably going to attend another great program.

I was rejected from the Phd program and waitlisted for the unfunded Master's. I already have an MA. No thanks!

I just received a very odd email from NYU Wagner retracting an (I guess: acceptance) email that apparently was sent earlier this afternoon (I did not receive it) to applicants who previously had either been rejected or waitlisted. Looks like the crew at Lafayette & Houston got a little too deeply into the April Fools' spirit.

soooo funny, NYU. just got the "retraction" email saying the acceptance was sent in error....hope this one makes the news

I was rejected, then got this accepted e-mail. Called office, and there was a recording saying it was an error. Talk about a cruel april fool's joke.

hey, did anyone get rejected from nyu last week, but get a random email saying they are accepted tonight (with no mention of being rejected before?) the admissions office is already closed for today and i am really confused!

don't know what took them so long. travel grant.

Just received the admission letter. Transferred from PhD application. No funding of course.

I applied to the Phd program, and I specifically asked that I not be considered for the MA provided I don\'t get into the former. \r\n(Letter dated 18 March).
