This the mercy poster below, it seems like a lot of people are on the waitlist because I haven't seen anyone post about a rejection yet. I do know some people have gotten off the waitlist in the past. It seems like they selected only a couple of people per interview group and offered them admissions and the rest were waitlisted. I do know that many people plan of declining their mercy acceptance (at least the people that I'm going to school with at my undergrad school)

Interviewed yesterday, received a phone call today. Seems like an interesting program. Waiting to hear back from one more school!

The coordinator, Allan Smith, told me that they haven't sent out 25% of decisions yet because these are people who are most likely on the waiting list. He said they wanted to hear back from some of those accepted before officially notifying those wait-listed.

Does anyone have any idea how large their waitlist is? E-mailed to ask my position on the waitlist and was told they have not ranked it yet. Super anxious as this is my second time applying and I am on 3 waitlists currently, ugh!

I haven't heard anything either! I keep telling myself it's because I'm out of state and it'll take a while to receive the letter. Lol good luck!

Received an email stating that they were not able to admit me for graduate study at this time

To the posters below: After receiving my acceptance offer, they gave me a deadline a week after I received it to reply. Since I hadn't heard from every school at that time, I asked for an extension, and they said, "Sorry we have to stick with the deadline as we have lots of others waiting to hear if they are accepted." I'm assuming that means they aren't using a waitlist or anything - they are waiting to hear back from the first round of offered admissions before they send out another round of offers. I'm turning down my offer for the FT distance program, so best of luck if that's what you're waiting on!

Received an email stating that I had been placed on an alternate list and would be notified soon with my admission decision. Really really excited about this because this school is my #1 choice! Hoping that I can move up the wait list!

Interviewed on Feb. 28, 2017. Received acceptance letter via email as well as by mail!

I was so scared of not getting in due to it being a state school (and I out of state) and being the first time I apply. I am planning to move to NoCal, so this was really one of my few options and truly my top one!! so EXCITED! BTW, has anyone's portal updated yet?? My status still says "referred to grad dept" but I received my acceptance letter over a week ago. Also, I would love to have a Facebook group for those of us entering the program! I heard it is by cohort so I am guessing we'd have to create a new one. If you know about one for our cohort, please let me know.

I called today to ask about the summer term admissions and the woman said the first wave of admissions decisions will be going out the end of this week!

I reached out asking about assistantships, they will consider assistantships after all students are accepted. They review the entire incoming class as a committee then award GAships. She said they don't expect to have them done until May. At the open house, I believe they said they give 8.
