Received call from POI three days ago. Email from dean of graduate studies arrived today with official letter of acceptance. Funding details to follow shortly.

Response to below: I only applied for the PhD (already have an MA). I'm not sure if the sequential track is decided separately from PhD only students. I suspect not from how my adviser talked over the phone.

Thanks for the reply. Did you apply just for the PhD? or the sequential MA/PhD? Do you know if the 3 slots were only for the PhD or for the sequential as well?

To the poster below: POI emailed me immediately after the meeting. Apparently only 3 students were selected for the PhD (including both arch and socio-cultural). Not sure if the other two were notified or if any are wait listed.

To the person accepted below, I was told the ad com wasn't meeting until after the 9th. How did you receive a decision on the 9th?

I was rejected after an interview 2 weeks ago... they were only going to select 2 candidates :'( best of luck....

To the poster from Berkeley below, I also had an interview on January 25th, and still haven't heard back. In spite of the fact that they told me during the interview that I am supposed to hear back "very soon". Very weird.

When I spoke to them last week, they told me decisions were going out THIS week - but from the poster below it looks like we have to wait another week to find out :/
