Expected since I wasn't invited to interview weekend. Happy they didn't drag it out. I am finishing a MA and have field experience. Honestly, I don't think I was a good fit for their program anyway. Grats to everyone who was invited.

Received phone call/ quick interview. Not told results but they are in narrowing process. They take 6-8 for all subfields combind. Will hear back in ~2 wks.

My POI notified me that I made into their shortlist but eventually they are not able to offer me a spot. This is apparently an early unofficial notice and they said that the official results will be out later this week or next week. I do not know if they interviewed candidates or not.

For the Harvard inquiry below: I got the good news from my POI over the weekend. It was a personalized e-mail and my understanding is that historically Harvard does not send the acceptance messages all at once. So if you did not make an interview you should perhaps expect a bad news but if you had an interview good news might be on the way. Good luck!

Last year their deadline was Jan 1, according to Petersons, so if they are on the same schedule, this is just about the very earliest they'd be reaching out. POI informally told me it would likely be early March but who knows.

to all those who have admits: did you receive official admit letters from the graduate school? would like to know if no word means implicit rejection. thanks!

Some people have multiple interviews because their faculty of interest weren't able to do one joint interview due to scheduling conflicts. The number of interviews you have has no bearing on whether or not you'll get in.

Re: Yale interviewee below: During my interviews they told me we should all hear back by the end of February, mid-March at the latest. Just hang in there!
