Any facebook or other groups for accepted students?

I was waitlisted for management science and engineering on the 4th of may, but haven't heard anything from them ever since. I even wrote to them asking about my application status but no response for that either. I don't know for how long should I wait, anyone else in the same boat?

After a long wait, I am finally off the waitlist! The offer was notified through a zoom chat with the admission. I wasn't sure whether my mail expressing my continued interest help the result or not, but it was still worth trying!

Its a pity they dont offer feedback.

Bummed I got declined. Was hoping I would have a chance since they need more POC in their program.

No GRE. 1 year work experience. 1 publication. From University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka.

(Ignore WL) For anyone STILL waiting for Columbia's MS CS decisions, I just called the school to ask about my application because I submitted mine before the first priority deadline back in January and it has been more than 5 months without any updates. They told me that they are still reviewing applications, and that the delay is due to the pandemic. They said that there are still chances of acceptance and thanked me for my patience.

Got accepted off the waitlist with no scholarship. This is incredibly exciting (and stressful) and I did not think I could pull it off! Did some extracellular activities in newspapers, 7 recommendations letter and extra waitlist letter and 4 internships.

Got accepted off the waitlist! No scholarship though :-(

Officially waitlisted. Is there anyone here that had gotten an admit last year for Fall 2020 but reapplied for Fall 2021?

Originally applied for PhD, want me to get my MS first because current degrees are not in Material Science. Dual degree BS in Physics and Mechanical Engineering, Additional Masters in Chemical Engineering with 3.28 GPA, 1 paper published with 1 being written. Plan on doing the computational specialty and transitioning into solid state PhD specialty.

"We regret to inform you that your application for this graduate program was not successful. Each year, many good applicants are declined admission to the University of British Columbia. Common reasons for declining applicants include unavailability of appropriate faculty advisors and/or funding for the applicant, an applicant's less competitive academic record, and simply the limited number of spots available in graduate programs. Due to the significant number of applications we receive, we are unable to provide applicants with specific explanations for being declined."

Submitted the application on late Feb and interviewed last week

Application was finalized with all letters of recommendation 4/21/2020, so it'll take about a month to get decisions back

I honestly thought that I had a chance because of my GPA and they said experience isn't required.

[TTPB] No - I'm an international student, but I did go to college at a US institution.

[TTPB]: Are you an American Citizen with a degree in the USA?

Applied on 04/29, did not interview
