To the poster who is high on the waitlist, may I ask the information “high” on the waitlist is in your waitlist letter or you asked the professor personally? Thank you!

Just declined funded offers from these schools. Best of luck to anyone on the waitlist!

TTPB: That is the first time I have seen someone get accepted at Iowa State with a GPA lower than 3 in EE. Congrats !! Could I ask what specialization did you apply to?

My primary application was in pure math. A professor from ECE took interest and offered me a position after the interview.

I am on the waitlist for those schools. Please decline your offer if you don't want to go there. Thank you for your help! Good luck to everyone!

I am on the waitlist for those programs. If you are not going to those schools, please decline your offers, thank you in advance!

TTPB: Agree with the poster below, that is a very stupid reason to attend one university over another. Doing a PhD is a big decision. Choose the school that fits you best: location, field of study, etc. Good luck!

TTPB: I think this may be the dumbest thing I've ever read.

They've been dormant since I submitted the (pre)application in November. The offer includes stipend of $23,996 and potential summer teaching stipend of $5,998 if I meet GPA requirement. Health insurance subsidy included as well as tuition waiver. Since I only applied to ISU and UIowa, I will probably accept the offer since UIowa have handed out offers already. I would rather go somewhere I am appreciated as a first-round-accept then second-round-wannabes.

Congrats to the previous poster.

comes with 22k teachers assistantship

Finally accepted. Will probably attend unless I get into another program. This is my only acceptance out of 22 schools that I applied to, where 18 already rejected me ...

With $20,000 stipend

rejection email.

Well, have much better offers.

Standart rejection letter from the grad school.

Got an email from the department secretary with the letter of acceptance. Interviewed on Jan 18th virtually.
