Hm, not sure. I received a part time TA-ship and fellowship from the grad school which was decided this month.

To the person below who was accepted into UCONN, did you receive funding? A status was never posted in the portal but I received an email from them directly this month saying that they want to admit me but that they have not made any final decisions for students since they don't yet know about funding? So I'm kind of confused that different people are hearing different things.

I received notice that a decision had been posted to the app portal, and I was accepted. I then reached out to DGS to thank them and introduce myself. I'm not sure when other decisions are coming out, but it seems staggered.

Does anyone know if getting a PhD from this school is worth it? It's lower ranked. Please answer thank you!

Emailed the department said they are still making decisions, because they had a large applicant pool this year.

And they tell you this after taking the application fees from you, is it? Why couldn't they have told this before? It's not like they realized they had budget cuts suddenly after the admission deadline.

"Due to unexpected cuts to our funding for incoming students next year, we have made the difficult decision not to admit any new students for Fall 2021." Awful timing, but this is the new reality of COVID I guess.

No update, just wanted to share that I spoke to them and they said they'll be sending out decisions in mid-March

Accepted from the waitlist! This is my second acceptance so I will need to make a choice in the ensuing weeks.

Saw letter updated on applicant portal. Expected this given the acceptances from January...This whole cycle of admission has been absolutely brutal and I wish more schools would just send out rejections because it's a little too painful to keep pretending there's hope.
