Had an interview with a prof. on skype. He told that he is considering me recommending to the committee but he does not have funding at present. So, can't promise admission as it will depend on available funding in the department. If anyone got better offer and not joining UC Irvine, please decline. | ||||

I'm afraid your application didn't make it to the short list. We can only afford to support one or two foreign students a year, and one of our MS students who was doing better than current Ph.D. students in our Ph.D. level courses was admitted already, leaving the possibility of only one slot. We actually expect, since we have many excellent domestic applicants, that we may only admit domestic applicants for the remaining slots. | ||||
