For those who received financial package details could you share the original email with us? I'm admitted in mid Feb and this funding looked really bad.

TPB: Yes, it is not five years. They can only guarantee for two years. Every year after the second year, they typically would evaluate each student and decide whether to give a TA appointment, and this is not guaranteed for everyone. I heard they have been doing this for years.

TPB: What "People need to provide for themselves after the second year." means? Isn't funding(tuition + stipend) offered for five years?

2yr of funding with 21k each year. People need to provide for themselves after the second year. Very bad signal for the department, already declined.

Just received an email from the department. Seems like the Portal has yet to be properly updated. No letter etc. so far.

Waitlisted after I emailed asking for the status as I am also waitlisted for Fulbright. The wait is cruel but life goes on, chin up everyone, you will be fine no matter what happens :)
