To answer question regarding who I heard from, I received notification from the Program Department Head. My Supervisor was aware that I was accepted but was unable to inform me until it was official. Good luck!

Accepted on Feb. 23rd by the department, but has to be officially confirmed by Graduate School.

Asked the coordinator of the mkt phd program via email about my status.

I was told by my POI that Strategy and Entrepreneurship is not taking any students this year. I haven't gotten the official rejection but, he was letting me know so I could pursue other programs.

canadian undergrad, overall gpa is low, but gpa in the last two years very high

Undergrad and Master degrees completed in Vancouver, Canada. $5,000 funding. Applied with Supervisor and a guaranteed RA position.

Anyone who applied to Memphis-- do you keep receiving emails saying they need a final copy of your transcript?! I called this morning and they said it isn't a big deal since I haven't graduated, but the email says my application cannot be processed without the transcript. I'm just confused and looking for anyone else in my situation!

@ poster, below: International students from my country tend to have a hard getting into quality institutions like Caltech, Berkeley, etc. due to lack of quality undergrad training, but UBC tends to be generous in admissions decisions for applicants from my country. Not really sure why. I'm counting on that. Would be really disheartened if I get rejected. UBC is my dream school. I've also got one other offer already accepted, but I'll reject it in favour of UBC any day.

@ poster below: thanks! well.. just looking at stats from previous years I would say we should hear final acceptances by the end of next week.. I know that their PhD admission is quite different and much more competitive than their MSc.. anyhow, hope we hear some good news in the coming days! I have already got an admission from another place... but have not made my mind yet!
