TPB: I got the same email from Northwestern. I think if you listed that you are taking fall classes (in your app and the classes were not complete obviously) it prompts the system to get a transcript from you. I didn't take fall classes so I got the email but I don't have the app incomplete status on my page.

email from committee inviting to me to visit weekend in two weeks, as well as very positive email from POI. Have some better options so unsure if I will take attend.

Invited to virtual visit for finalists

TTPB: I am unsure specifically how Northwestern's Political Science program handles things, but in my experience it is not uncommon for PI's to reach out to applicants personally for a chat/interview (even if the program doesn't *officially* interview applicants). For example, in December I was interviewed by a faculty member (at a different university) despite that program explicitly stating that there are no interviews throughout the application process.

For those who believed the claim of interview with Ian Hurd, here is the message I received : "we have not yet sent out ANY decisions, and we do not invite students for interviews before or after admission. We're in the process of reviewing files; we expect that all decisions will be out before the end of February." I honestly feel pity for people who come here and just post spam. Thanks.
