Extremely disheartened. To everyone going crazy about the BA in Eng/MA is Psych post, isnt it obvious that the person who posted it either selected an incorrect program or it was a fake post? -_-

GMAT - 710, 3 years of relevant EXP. by matriculation. Well, I believe I'll have to do some language studies/non-relevant work to get through this program after all!

Extremely disappointed..the dream is over..CS undergrad...have been working in an analytics firm for over a year..worked on various regression techniques as well as tableau visualization..strong LORs..was interested in pursuing financial anaytics..

I do not know what kind of profile they were expecting . People with years of relevant work ex got reject , high GRE scores got rejected > 330 , High GPA rejected .. Wonder they had a lot of chinese applications this year !

Found out from prospective advisor I was not admitted; 2/26/16 official email came today 2/23/16

Got rejected from NYU yesterday. Still awaiting Columbia. I dropped then an email and they said the application is still under review and they will inform once it is available.

I have been accepted to duke statistical science, carnegie mellon msp, and columbia data science, but still waiting on nyu data science.. any recommendation on which program to attend? and best of luck to all who have not received the notice

Undergrad from IIT. Master's in finance from a highly ranked business school in Europe. 3 years work experience in quantitative role at a global bank. Not really sure what the criteria are.

3 years or work ex in Big data and machine learning. Avg CGPA. But I know a friend with same background and very high CGPA who was rejected too. All indians that I know have been rejected ( Most from IITs). If any one from India is accepted, can you please share your profile? The program has accepted Chinese students from ENGLISH LITERATURE too. So very confused about their requirements.

I haven't heard anything from Columbia yet. However, got rejected from NYU Data Science Program. Please also tell me what admission portal were you referring to?
