Hi, anyone heard from the Harvard BIOENGINEERING PhD program?

what is wrong with this program? any news? I'm now being impatient! lol 😂

I got deferred to be considered with the second round of interviews in February. I also thought I did well in the interviews, but I guess not well enough. I'm thinking they took a lot less than 90% of us first rounders.

To the poster below, about 75. There was a sheet for peer mentor match ups that listed if you want to check for sure.

To the post below, do you know how many people in total attended the first interview visit?

Anyone who applied for HCI got interviewed? I never heard back since submitting my application.

got a deferral as well til the second interview and know of three others that did as well. Don't lose hope--I think the 90% was for the total grad season--not the first interview session?

Deferred decision, pooling me with the second cohort of interviews. Wondering where I went wrong as all interviews were very positive experiences, but good to know I'm not alone. Keeping hopes high!

Received an email that my application will be pooled with the applicants from the 2nd interview weekend in February (I interviewed last week), then a decision will be made. A little disappointed since they were very clear they would accept 90% of us, so now I'm wondering what got me into the bottom 10%. Hopefully some positive news will come my way soon!

two JACS 1st author (one just submitted). GPA 4/4. Have heard that Harvard CCB took too many students last year therefore very little spots this year. Not sure if it's true.

TTPB: Can you tell which concentration you applied for? Did the email come from a POI or the program coordinator? thanks !

The email mentioned that they're doing rolling admissions, so more acceptances should come as some people decide to go elsewhere
