Accepted into MHCI+D. Graduated with a Bachelor's in neuroscience and a minor in psychology. I worked in a psychology lab during my last two years of undergrad and the work I did with grad students resulted in a published article. I took two years off and worked photography jobs/went into the arts. No HCI, UX, UXR or UI experience.

Rejected to the HCDE program but got accepted to the MSIM with a specialization in UX!

Funding has not been decided yet, please give me fundings so that I can accept.

This would be my top choice if I was finally admitted. If someone has received the admission and chooses other programs, it would be a great help if you could decline the MHCI+D offer sooner than later. Thanks!

Received an email asking if I was interested in their M.S. program...I already have an MS (Tells me they didn't pay too much attn. to the transcripts I submitted). When I asked if this meant I wasn't accepted they responded saying " at this time we do not have a PhD position available". Don't know if this means just for me or everyone else as well. Best of luck to the rest of you and congrats to those who are accepted!

International student with an undergraduate background in design and a graduate degree in an unrelated field (but with a thesis focusing on UI/UX applications), both in American universities. Work experience is mostly in design (a lot of website-related projects), working with small cross-functional teams. No interview. Presented a small portfolio showcasing personal, school and work projects in multiple areas including web and graphic design and 3D printing. Portfolio descriptions heavily emphasized the exploration of different methodologies and design processes and iterations. I hope this helps future applicants.
