Received an email asking if I was interested in their M.S. program...I already have an MS (Tells me they didn't pay too much attn. to the transcripts I submitted). When I asked if this meant I wasn't accepted they responded saying " at this time we do not have a PhD position available". Don't know if this means just for me or everyone else as well. International student with an undergraduate background in design and a graduate degree in an unrelated field (but with a thesis focusing on UI/UX applications), both in American universities. Work experience is mostly in design (a lot of website-related projects), working with small cross-functional teams. No interview. Presented a small portfolio showcasing personal, school and work projects in multiple areas including web and graphic design and 3D printing. Portfolio descriptions heavily emphasized the exploration of different methodologies and design processes and iterations. I hope this helps future applicants.
