If you look at past acceptances you can see that they typically send their acceptances around mid-late Feb! You are still in the game, especially with being recommended for admissions :)

Has anyone heard from UCR chemical engineering? I was informally told I was recommended for admission almost a month ago, but my online application still says under review. I'd appreciate any info, thanks!

2.5 yrs of research; 1 publication (co-first author); 1 more publication in progress (first author); multiple conference presentations; I contacted six professors before submitting my application, and all of them kindly replied. The admission committee makes the decisions, but I also had an informal interview with two of the professors when I contacted them.
