Anyone heard from the department?

It's been indicated on the portal that they hope to finalize their decisions by mid-March and next week is almost mid-March. I hope I hear something: an acceptance, rejection or waitlist even.

I think we are on a waitlist... how many of us ? Idk. This is the last school I am waiting on so I would rather be notified that I am denied so I can make a decision and get people off the waitlist for other schools.

Average GPA; 3 years of experience in the lab; my current UG PI was the student of the future grad PI, so I already had the connection with the potential PI before applying. Good LoRs, textbook SoP

(Not WL) I am getting so nervous/impatient but also know that tomorrow is the open house for accepted students and that they have one at the end of the march I think.. still trying to be hopeful

(Ignore WL) Has anyone heard from GWU Chemistry? I received an email January 8th indicating my app was under review and we would hear within 4-6 weeks, but it's silence for me so far.

Very good internationally converted GPA. One abstract publication and a gold medal at an international conference. Very strong LOR. Department is very impressed with my research experience and interests. 4 professors personally wrote to me.

Sad but not surprised I didn't get in. This was my last decision so on the bright side I can make my choice now!

Very sad as I had talked to professor and almost guarantied an admission to the department, would never consider this school again and they did not even notify me the result I had to email them and that's when they told me I was rejected . All the best everyone !!!
