Didn't receive an email, checked the portal

In person interview.

Does anyone know if Yale will invite waitlisted students to visiting day? I know they did it last year, but I'm curious about this year because they didn't contact me about the waitlist. What is the value of the reimbursement?

Answering the two post below, background: tier 2 University in China, 1 research experience in top US university, 2 industry research experience, one submitted top conference paper(second author), pretty standard GPA, GRE TOEFL, three good letters from research advisors who are famous in the field. TTPB, what is your research area and when did you receive the email? Thanks and congrats!

To the Yale posters below, what were your backgrounds?

Best of luck to everyone

Email to check portal. Was hoping no news for 11 days was good news, but alas, they took a while to say no. C'est la vie. 1a/5r/6p

Email to check portal. Took them long enough. 1a/5r/5p

I don't think they even admit anyone to this combined program? I've only seen 2 people in the program in the past 8 years.

Email to check website. Not suprised as I don't have an MA yet

"Dear ...., How dare you have the audacity to apply to our program. Typically we use application fees for administrative costs, but yours will be put straight into a nice cup of coffee and Tylenol to help us recover from the headache your application caused us. Sincerely, Yale". JK, the letter was much nicer.
