Expected this as an undergraduate alum, with one of my letter writers stating that my research interests probably wouldn't be a great fit for the department. Still had to apply though. Generic email but it feels good to finally get closure. Congrats to everyone that was accepted and Go Blue! Best of luck to you! It's an amazing department with a lot of passion in both faculty and students.

I just checked the portal...didn't even get an email.

This was a top choice for me -- congrats to all those admitted!! 3a/2r/1w/2p

One of the nicest templated reject letters I've seen. Reflects well on the institution and its culture. Congrats to all who were accepted! 1a/3r/0w/1p

Email, generic, Promotions tab. 1a/6r/0w/1p. Sigh.

Went to my “promotions” tab on gmail- you might want to check there if you were expecting a message from them.

Oddly comforting to finally have an answer/closure tbh

Very sad but after seeing all the acceptances knew this was coming. Already got into another top choices so all is okay:)

expected. nice, generic email.

Email to check portal. Generic rejection. This was expected, but it is difficult news nonetheless as I have been rejected by all

Though my research interests are similar to faculty members and I communicated with one of them, I got rejection letter. A little bit disappointed. Congrats to all admitted students!

Has anyone heard back from UW? Not those who were accepted (CONGRATS, THATS HUGE!), but anyone waitlisted or rejected?

985 Project university from China. High GPA. Rank 1 at my undergraduate program. Strong recommendation letters. 4 research experiences in related fields. Totally confused about rejection.

Has anyone heard from MSU? I received an email for an interview about 10 days ago. The program coordinator asked about my general availability for the week of March 1st and said she will work on arranging some meetings for me. No more news since then...

(not interview) I'm fairly certain these are real. Posts from both Social Policy + Government and Social Policy + Sociology. Yeah -- we don't want to give up hope when we shouldn't. But it seems silly/more emotionally painful to hold out hope despite the clear evidence that decisions have been made.

I'm a bit desperate since i got no offer yet... Are schools accepting international students this year?

email to check portal. long expected, but good to finally have closure: 2a/2w/3r/3p
