Email from both SEAS and POI. One interview ~3 weeks ago. Best of luck to everyone else!

I heard from a prof at another university that 1)Harvard has had to cut physics admissions by 50% due to COVID and 2) this year they are only allowed to send out as many offers as they have positions at a given time. So admit season might be longer as some offers are rejected and they are allowed to send out more offers.

Accepted with one interview about 3 weeks ago.

TTPB: If you look at prior years, it seems Applied Physics (SEAS) comes out 1-2 weeks before Physics. My interviewer said: physics is a different day than applied physics and physics is mid-Feb. Don't worry yet!

Got E-mail for decision updated at the portal and found the rejection. Good luck to anyone else who haven't got results.

I wonder how Harvard reviews applications. They sent all interview invites within a week of the application deadline. All other programs I have applied to in other universities took at least 4-6 weeks for review. I hope Harvard at least reads our applications. If our applications are not being given consideration, then no point in applying and wasting application fee.

seems like they really want to recruit me, not sure about the stipend yet. you get accepted into a specific research area with a recommended PI. but I think you can change throughout your first academic year,

Reached out to program via email and they replied to tell me everyone who was selected for interviews has been contacted. I expected as much, but still had not heard anything official.

I haven't heard anything from the Bioengineering program either :/. Are people being interviewed right now?

Has anyone heard when we should expect to hear back from them?

Do they say anything about official confirmation email from department or anything?
