Expected, but, still.

Well dang.

Received an unbelievably kind email that put me in shock. Honestly ever since I submitted my applications I had convinced myself I would not get in anywhere and would be doing this whole writing thing on my own - so please don't count yourself out....

Fast acceptance but no funding offered/fellowships denied. 1a/0w/0r 7pending

A very pleasant letter from Syracuse staffers. It sucks, but it was quick and cordial. 0a/0w/1r/7o

I swear to god I will go to school for business if this doesn't work out for me. I'll do it. I'll go back for business and I'll invent the next exploitative check cashing scheme. Ten more chances. Don't screw with me, college.

Yesterday, this was my top choice. Upon further reflection, I realize I didn't really want to go there anyway. If anyone needs me, I'll be crying softly in my closet.

How do people not let these rejections completely derail their day / week / year / sense of self? I need therapy.

Generic email rejection.

Was probably my top choice. Bummer. 1a/0w/1r/16p
