to poster below: I was waitlisted post interview and haven't heard anything. I did have a response from my poi about how the process of waitlist works about 3 weeks ago, but nothing since. Fingers crossed some movement starts soon as decisions for acceptance are due soon!

The previous post about the interview is also mine. For future reference, the writing sample questions are pretty basic. The one I chose to do was write about your biggest challenge and the steps you took to overcome them. Another option was why are you interested in counseling psychology? About an hour and a half after my interview, I received the acceptance email. Super happy!

Has anyone heard from the combined school and counseling program? accepted, denied, or waitlisted?

I was notified on the website that "Decision made...you will be notified by mail or email..." and then at 11PM, i got an email saying I was rejected. Sucky system to be so anxious all day - was pretty sure it meant rejection, but a confirmation earlier would've been nice. Notes: I was a Marketing undergrad, so I think that had to do with me being rejected - maybe Psychology majors were picked over? I'm a little confused since I went above and beyond their requirements. But oh well!

My online portal was updated but it said “in review” and that I still needed to submit documents (that I’ve already submitted). I called and was told I was accepted!! If you have questions, I would definitely call. Glad I did!

I was accepted to Auburn off the alternate list, but declined the offer. Hope this helps someone else out on the wait list! Good luck!!

emailed POI after interview and he said I would not be getting an offer. bummed but I have an acceptance somewhere else so there’s that :)

Hello! Did ANYONE get an acceptance post-interview. I interviewed almost 2 months ago, no rejection, no waitlist, no anything. Very frustrating.

Got back to me within days on their decision to wait list me and told me to expect a call if I got moved up, I got in else where and will not be attending regardless but staff and students were great during the interview process and the interviewing was relaxed and pleasant.

Got an email saying I was accepted and my formal acceptance would be sent in a few days with scholarship information. I received 18k for both years from the department. Amazing experience interviewing and I absolutely LOVED it. SO excited to attend in the fall.

Also went to TCNJ for undergrad in clinical/counseling psychology. Their interview process was very chill, assistantships seem pretty generous. I was notified within 2 days of my interview - faculty were pretty clear on what kind of student they’re looking for as well. Good luck!!!

Received email to check the portal; also received an email on 3/11 that my application was under review (just to give a time frame between that notification and the decision date to anyone still waiting).
