Folks with a funded offer from UW but planning to decline it-- Please do it asap. It's the end of the admission season and this is my last hope. I can't afford to accept without funding :(

Unable to offer PhD due to a lack of funding for students who don't already have a masters degree. Unfunded MS offered instead.

Figured I was rejected given how long it took to be notified. Still sad to see this door close. With that, though, my season is over with 3a/1w/6r.

Since there are a lot of people who are confused about the University of Washington funding, I should inform you that I got a full 5-year funding so it seems they do have some funds to sustain at least some people.

I think it's not a troll. The guy pointing out the poor funding of Washington may apply again this year to transfer to another PhD program with better funding. Anyway, Washington did lack of funding seriously!

To the current UW student, thank you for the input. For the "For those people do not receive funding" part, do you refer to those who are admitted unfunded at all or those who are not guaranteed upon year 3 and actually do not receive funding from year 3? Thanks again!

Any past/current UW student at UW who can throw some light on how the funding system works for the 2nd year onwards? What is the likelihood of getting full funding (given that the 3.0 GPA criteria and all is met)? Thanks
