I think it's not a troll. The guy pointing out the poor funding of Washington may apply again this year to transfer to another PhD program with better funding. Anyway, Washington did lack of funding seriously!

To the current UW student, thank you for the input. For the "For those people do not receive funding" part, do you refer to those who are admitted unfunded at all or those who are not guaranteed upon year 3 and actually do not receive funding from year 3? Thanks again!

Any past/current UW student at UW who can throw some light on how the funding system works for the 2nd year onwards? What is the likelihood of getting full funding (given that the 3.0 GPA criteria and all is met)? Thanks

To folks who are admitted but do not plan to attend, I will appreciate if you can decline your offer ASAP so the rest of us can hopefully be guaranteed full funding for first year.

TTPB: I'm waiting for mine too.. I've emailed the department about 4 times (latest last week) and the coordinator kept saying the same thing that "there are no updates/decision made at this time, hopefully you will hear back before April 15th".. it's crazy bc most of my other application needs a decision by the 15th. but this is my top choice so i'm literally stressed out.

Anybody not hearing back from them yet? I emailed them in March, and all they said was "no decision has been made yet, hopefully we will let you know in April". Anybody in the same boat and knows what's going on?

Apply to PhD but rejected and turn to Master.
