Received email about interview from program director

Just received a lovely email notifying me I've received a TAship. So stoked!

To the poster that was asking earlier -- I got into NCSU's MFA program and I applied in the very last week of December :D

Those who have been accepted to NC State for MFA in Creative Writing --- how early did you apply? I see on their website that they view applications and make decisions on them in the order that they were received/completed. Congrats, either way!

Amazing. Blown away. Not 100% but will very likely be accepting. 1a/0r/0w/6?

Nice phone call, with official letter to come.

Referred to website, form letter.

Upbeat but generic/unpersonalized email from program director with lots of caveats on the odds & the process of selection. This bit may be helpful to others: "This process isn’t easy to explain; it’s an art, not a science. The important thing for you to understand at this point is that your application is just as attractive to us as any other on the wait list. To put it another way, the wait list isn’t actually a list. It would be more accurate to call it a 'wait pool.'" Happy swimming, y'all.

I'm humbled, amazed, etc. 2a/0w/0r (and, uh, many to go lol).

Woah. 1a/3r/12p

Email to check the portal and the decision was in there.
