Non-CS major with high GPA in 2 years of post-bacc coursework in CS and physics. No publications, currently involved in research. Emailed to check online decision status which had a pretty standard rejection letter.

Notice to check on website. Generic reject.

Received an email with a link to my application with a status update.

Checked because of the below postings, sure do love not getting any proper notification

Checked website after I saw the rejection below and found an update.

Yes same here i didn't get anything, that's why i was shocked to hear on phone that it's already sent. And look you can call me bitter but I am happy to go to a university now who values my time as applicant. Even though UIUC sent out admission in wave. Atleast when I called them explained to me the process in details and induced calmness. Up and forward from here now.

First Admit of the season.

I applied and was accepted to the Computer Science MS (Scientists and Engineers) program for summer 2018 10 days ago or so, but I received an email yesterday asking if I was interested applying for the PhD program for fall 2018. Anyone else receive something like this?

To the poster below: did you get an official email or confirmation from POI?

Two Research Papers Published and 1 in press 1.5 years work experience.

2nd Reject. Disappointed. 1 Research internship in the US, 3 International IEEE publications but low GPA and decent GRE. All the best to those admitted!
